We're looking for a senior-level Electrical Engineer to develop autonomous platforms while leading the manufacture and test of existing designs. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of engineers to ensure the system design meets system and subsystem requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and develop next-generation robotic vehicles while supporting the manufacture and testing of existing designs
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to conceptualize, specify and implement electrical architectures for new product developments including multi-stage integrated robotics systems, automation products, and commercial products
- Generate design documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly and cable drawings
- Responsible for the system-level design of electrical systems for autonomous vehicles related to sensor integration, drive-by-wire, etc
- Specify and select electrical components such as microcontrollers, servo drives, sensors, and safety systems for robotics and automation uses
- Capture electronics schematics and generate PCB designs for manufacturing
- Perform board bring-up activities including embedded firmware development and circuit validation
What We’re Looking For
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent in industry experience
- 7+ years of electrical design experience in the robotics field with tightly coupled electrical, mechanical, and software components
- Highly competent in CAD tools including Altium, SolidWorks, or similar tools
- Solid experience in one or more of the following: robotics, automation, embedded controls, high-speed differential signaling, microcontrollers, memory buses, power electronics
- Experienced with ESD-safe practices and procedures
- Highly skilled with testing and system integration
- Expert technical knowledge and experience in schematic capture and PCB layout in analogue and digital circuit analysis and design
- Reverse engineering skills
